Responding to Senior Financial Abuse Education Events

Call to action - NB entrepreneurs & Community Leaders

FCNB is working with the Start-up weekend team to raise awareness and work towards finding solutions to address financial abuse and other issues facing seniors across our province.

Start-Up weekend will be held April 28th to 30th, and will be hosted in Moncton.

But first, come to our education events to gain a better understanding of the issues, challenges and barriers older New Brunswickers face when accessing and using financial products, services and benefits.   FCNB will be hosting three education events in Moncton, Fredericton & Saint John to help our entrepreneurs and community leaders understand these issues.

Working together we can find solutions that will protect our seniors and improve quality of life as we age for all New Brunswickers.

All events will take place from 12:00 until 2:00 PM, lunch will be provided.

FCNB has a mandate to provide consumer and investor protection.  While anyone can be a victim of frauds, scams or financial abuse, New Brunswickers over 50 are particularly at risk, and the consequences of victimization can be more severe.  Financial abuse and exploitation of older New Brunswickers is especially harmful as they have less time to recover from financial loss.
