Under the Unclaimed Property Act, you are required to file a report with the Director and deliver the reported property. If you are holding unclaimed property on December 31 in any year, you have 90 days after the end of the calendar year to comply with sections 2 to 5 of the Act as well as filing a report under section 9 of the Act.
You are not obligated to file a report in any year when:
- you are not holding unclaimed property; or
- you qualify under section 6 of Rule UP-001 Unclaimed Property – General.

Important information for your first reporting period (2023)
