Insurance Notice – Mandatory Duty to Report

Bulletins and notices.

As outlined in Rule INS-001 Insurance Intermediaries Licensing and Obligations, adopted by the Financial and Consumer Services Commission (the Commission) in February 2023, all insurance licensees in New Brunswick are required to notify the Superintendent of Insurance of any change to their licence details, within 10 days of the change taking place. To report a change, licensees must now use the Duty to Report feature on the Commission’s self-serve portal instead of reporting by phone or email.

Licensees should familiarize themselves with the Duty to Report obligations depending on the type of licence they hold.

Please consult the step-by-step guides below for information about the Duty to Report submission process in the Commission’s self-serve portal.
