Information submitted online to the Commission as part of a consultation process, including personal information, is collected pursuant to subsection 13(1) of the Financial and Consumer Services Commission Act (the Act). The information collected will be used for the purposes of the consultation, administering financial and consumer services legislation (as defined in the Act), and contacting you about your submission as needed. The collection, use, disclosure and retention of information is governed by the Act, financial and consumer services legislation, our Privacy Policy, and the Right to Information and Protection of Privacy Act.

Submissions may not be kept confidential and may be subject to a request under the Right to Information and Protection of Privacy Act. Additionally, a summary of the written comments received during the comment period may be published. In some instances, the full submissions (with appropriate redactions) may be published. You should not include personal information directly in submissions. It is important that you state on whose behalf you are making the submission.
